Our fully equipped classroom and on the water training ensures you get an RYA recognised training qualification.
Perfect for first-time powerboaters, this course gives you a basic understanding of powerboating and focuses on boat handling and safety. You will learn the importance of wearing a kill cord, use of safety equipment, everyday boat handling and how to manoeuvre safely on the water. By the end of this one-day course you will be able to safely launch and recover a powerboat from a road trailer and feel confident completing simple manoeuvres such as picking up a mooring buoy. Our Hayling Island RYA Training Centre has easy access to Chichester Harbour and the Solent for the practical introduction to boat handling and safety.
